Dr. Fiona Chan
Dr. Fiona Chan graduated from University of Waterloo with a Bachelors of Honors Science and obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto.
She continued her education and received her acupuncture training from the McMaster University Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program. She is dedicated in providing patients with evidence-based and patient-centered care with specializing manual techniques such as Thompson® technique and motion palpation institute.
She is also passionate for ergonomics to ensure equipment and workstation setup fit our human body and cognitive abilities. Proper ergonomic design is necessary to prevent repetitive strain injuries and other musculoskeletal disorders, which can develop over time and can lead to long term injuries.
Dr. Chan has worked at multiple corporations and in a variety of environments such as hospitals, automotive manufacturing facilities, cellular phone manufacturing facilities and research centers, to provide ergonomic workshops, workstation consultations and risk assessments.
It is Dr. Chan’s desire to help serve the local community in the area of Markham to enable her patients to maximize their life to its full potential. She is a firm believer that each patient is unique in their own way and that each treatment is designed to help promote recovery. She is also a strong believer in the importance of preventing future injuries via maintenance care. Since Unionville has a very diverse culture, Dr. Chan is able to communicate fluently in English and Chinese to serve the local community.

Cindy is a registered massage therapist who earned her diploma at Oxford College. She became interested in massage therapy through her passion for helping others’ health. She values communication with clients, so she can provide comprehensive and coordinated care. Her dedication and professionalism are always seen while working. She likes to spread positivity by always greeting clients with enthusiasm.
She enjoys spending time with her family through travelling, exercising, and shopping.

Dr. Nicholas Karavanas
Dr. Nicholas Karavanas was born in Toronto, Ontario and raised in Markham, Ontario. While growing up and participating in various sports, he always had a keen interest in the sciences, health and helping people.
Following high school, Nicholas went on to pursue his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. He is also a licensed acupuncture provider.
Nicholas grew up playing high-sports which ultimately came with a lot of injuries. Living through pain and discomfort fueled him to become the best he can be at keeping people out pain and improving our body’s normal function.
In his treatments, Nicholas aims to correct postural and musculoskeletal issues that can be hindering optimal movement. He takes a patient-centred approach and utilizes adjustments, soft tissue therapy, laser and acupuncture as some of the tools to get his patients better.
In his down time, you can catch him outside walking or running, reading up on the latest scholarly articles around health and on the soccer field, both as a player and sideline medical staff!

Rachel Tan
Rachel completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy in 2018 in the Philippines. She has worked in a wide range of settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, and community-based rehabilitation programs. Since relocating to Ontario, she has gained an additional four years of hands-on experience working in diverse rehabilitation clinics across the province, assisting individuals with musculoskeletal conditions, recovery following orthopedic surgery, and sports injuries. She emphasizes a holistic and tailored treatment strategy aimed at resolving the underlying causes of pain, ensuring long-term improvement and overall well-being.
Rachel places a strong emphasis on patient education, empowering individuals to better understand their conditions and take an active role in their recovery. She combines this with manual therapy techniques, such as joint mobilizations, myofascial release, and therapeutic stretching, and tailors’ strength and mobility exercises to meet each patient’s unique needs.
